The following is links to resources for RML Lab's (formerly IQS) excellent line of digital audio multitrack editors/recorders, SAW. I have personally tested these using Win98/ME/2000 - if it is listed here it means that it works and won't crash your system - and in fact if it is listed here it means it is highly recommended!
Rail Jon Rogut Software This engineer/programmer has a couple of very useful utilities for SAWPro/32.
SAW EDL Investigator is a utility that displays, saves and prints all the information saved inside your EDL files. That includes sound files, regions, markers, track lists and fx settings.
Besides being able to list the contents of an EDL, the Investigator also includes: Region Filer , a Merger that can blend 2 EDL files together to create a new EDL, a Path Changer, Session Packer, Session Mover, SMPTE Calculator. Delay Chart Import & Export Sound Forge Regions and/or Markers, Import Sound Files as Regions, Clear Read-only Attributes and SND to WAV Conversion.

A beta version for SAWStudio was recently made available for $22 "pre-release" pricing.MP3 Builder - a SAWPro/32 plugin that acts as a front end gui for the Blade DLL - allowing you to create mp3 files directly inside of SAWPro/32. Analog X this developer has a number of very useful apps - all freeware. The ones that I use all the time are:
Freq - a calculator that allows you to key in a note and find the equivalent number in Hz or cents - great for figuring out center frequency points when eq'ing.
DX Manager - a must have - it allows you to easily monitor, re-register or uninstall DX plug-ins on your system. Too bad that Microsoft couldn't have made this part of the OS in the first place.
This handy utility detects new windows or dialog boxes that appear split between the displays in a multiple-monitor setup. It moves them to one display or the other, according to the user's settings.
I've tested it in Win2k using the ATI Radeon VE - and the author designed it for use with the Matrox G400 or G450. Freeware.
MIDI-OX - great freeware for monitoring and routing MIDI data.
MIDI Yoke - virtual MIDI ports to allow software only midi patches between midi programs. There are versions for both Win9x and WinNT/2000. I've tested this in Win2K to send MIDI Clock generated in SAWStudio by the JMS Metronome 1.4 plug-in sync Synapse Audio's Orion Platinum VSTi host and it's worked great.
MIDI OX - useful for creating text documentation of midi controls - so if you have a digital mixer or controller not yet supported by IQS for SAWStudio just take some reading using this and send them over to Bob Lentini and they most likely will be able to make a custom template for it. I sent readings for my Tascam TM-D1000 and IQS made me a template for it in only 2 weeks! Now that's support!
VST SkinRack is a product that allows you to create skin based control interfaces for your editorless VST Plugins, such as MDA's freeware. Basically it creates a new VST Plugin with a name you specify, that when called, provides an editor, or so called virtual rack, that is used to control parameters of editorless plugin it is associated with. Since SAWStudio can only load VST plug-ins with a GUI this is a must have in order to use editorless plug-ins in Studio/StudioLite. At only $25 this is a serious bargain considering how many great freeware plug-ins it unlocks for use with SAWStudio.
