WinJammer Sync SAWStudio Linker

Winjammer Professional is a basic but full featured midi sequencer that has a plugin for SAWPro/Plus32/32 - WJSync - that allows you to sync with very tight timing it's midi tracks to SAW's audio using software only. It allows WinJammer Professional 5.06 and SAW to both play and record together - and moving the cursor in either app places the cursor in the other app at the correct position.
Unfortunately Winjammer was discontinued - however I still really like using it with SAW as its RAM footprint is very small and it is easy to edit notation on it - and the ability to have it sync without any hardware makes it very convenient. For the few that are still using the SAWStudio / Winjammer combination we are maintaining this page because thanks to Jon Marshall Smith we can now have WinJammer Professional sync to SAWStudio / StudioLite using his freeware plug-in linker!!
To
install:
1) unzip folder contents
2) place WJSyncLink.dll in Native_PlugIns folder in SAWStudio folder.
3) place WJSync.dll plugin in SAWStudio folder (NOT the plugins folder!)
4) open SAWStudioFX_Native.ini file found in the SAWStudio Native_PlugIns folder
with a text editor (such as Notepad) and add the following line:
WJSyncLink.dll
Make sure you make a carriage return after this line and save the
file.
The "Winjammer Sync Link" plugin will now appear in SAWStudio's list of native FX - just open a single instance of it on one of SAWStudio's tracks, set WinJammer to sync to external software and voila! - your in business.
There is one known issue so far with the linker: playback can only be started from SAWStudio - playback can not be started from Winjammer.
